Project description:

The New Oakville Hospital, is an AFP (PPP) development, for a new 457 bed acute-care community hospital and energy centre, which serves more than 180,000 people.

The project re-designed the full acute and mental health hospital services, as well as, creating a new cancer clinic with improved public, social, educational and retail facilities.

Medical Architecture’s role involved healthcare planning, schematic design and internal planning of:
• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Outpatients Department
• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Ward
• Adult Mental Health Outpatient Department
• Adult Mental Health Inpatient Departments (3 Wards)
• Rehabilitation Outpatient Department (ROD)
• Development of sports facilities, in particular the swimming pool and gymnasium in the ROD
• Visualisation and 3D BIM Models fully coordinated with local Consultants, Kasian.
